This book discusses the main digital pedagogies applied to higher education through a bibliometric review and identifies the digital tools and methodologies teachers have used online and intend to keep in their classes due to the identified advantages. As such, it addresses digital education and the main pedagogical trends, among them the characteristics of the flipped classroom method and analyzing the possibilities of its use in personalized higher education. It also explains the active methodologies that promote interactivity in the school context, including augmented and virtual reality in higher education. Finally, the main trends on the topic of social presence in distance education between 2010 and 2021 are discussed.
