Elian Facundo Giordanino is a Cardiologist specialized in Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support and Heart Transplantation. He works in the Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation Division of the Favaloro Foundation University Hospital, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2012, he graduated from Medical School University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina and was awarded with the Gold Medal for the highest cumulative grade point average. After that, he was Coordinator and Editor in Chief of the Journal of the Argentine Council of Cardiology Residents and coordinated the book Coronary Care Unit Manual CONAREC (1st Edition, Buenos Aires, Argentina). In addition, he has published different research papers and chapters as well as peer reviewed several articles for the leading journals in the field such as the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and Transplant International journal.

Currently, he is Director of different courses in the field of Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation, as well as Principal Investigator in related clinical trials at his center. He is a member of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology (HFA-ESC) and the Argentinean Society of Cardiology (SAC).
